I nearly forgot to post images of some of the final results!
The top room, the Dorma, now looks like this:
Muchimproved.com!! Nest'pas....
The hallway is also much improved too....
Do you like the bottom step?
I'll be honest. I cocked up on the bottom rising! So we had a flash of inspiration, why not put carpet on the bottom rising.
It works and looks pretty good.
The bottom step gets all the wear, called the "kick". So the solid oak step, after staining and varnishing with special varnish, Glen lent us, does the job.
It's funny though when you walk down the stairs at the bottom step you "miss" your footing a little, as it is raised up by 30mm, but we will get used to that.
We also "blagged" Glen into repainting the bathroom walls and re-doing all the silicone around the bath etc....
Finally to the master bedroom.
Don't have images from before, though I think Glen does so we will have to get them from him. However 'er indoors and I agreed, for once, on the wall paper and paint colours almost at once! Unheard of.
Some pictures still to go up, but not on the feature wall. We beefed up the sliding wardrobe with extra fitted mirrors, through someone Glen knew.
Glen liked the feature paper so much he bought the two extra roles we had left off us.
We need to change the curtains as well, but have not made a decision yet....
